Dikwa, which was recaptured from the insurgents by Chadian troops in February was said to have not been fully liberated .

The official media consultancy outfit of the military, PR Nigeria, disclosed that the Nigerian Air Force Alpha Jet and surveillance aircraft were deployed before the ground forces moved into the town to flush out the insurgents.
