The Knighthouse record label rests on a couple of pillars of musical talent, one of which is acclaimed producer DJ Klem. Last year the RedBull Music Academy alumnus’ Six8Ten EP gained rave reviews, and a host of production credits added colour to his musical year. Now DJ Klem is out with a new EP titled “AfroFunkyDiscoSoul”, also released on the Knighthouse label.
According to ‘Rogba Arimoro, CEO, Knighthouse Creative, “The album explores the fusion of different genres of sound with selected African rhythms and features quite an eclectic collection of artists. The EP is set to drop at the end of March 2011”.
DJ Klem has released two teasers – tracks from his EP. Sumo Mi features Nigerian pop diva, Mo’Cheddah and new Ghanian artiste Trigmatic, who has been nominated for seven awards at the upcoming Ghana Music Awards. Kami, the second track, features Teeto-Cmos and the ‘underground culture queen’, Iye.
“With AfroFunkyDiscoSoul, Dj Klem takes his art to the next level,” Arimoro said.
