#BenBruceAt60: ‘I’m not an artist’ | Don Jazzy explains why he didn’t perform with D’banj

Ace producer and founder of The Supreme Mavin Dynasty, Don Jazzy, real names- Michael Collins, has denied reports that he deliberately shunned Senator Ben Murray-Bruce’s appeal to join D’banj on stage, on Friday night.

The event was the 60th birthday of the Senator representing Bayelsa East constituency, and his birthday wish was for the former collaborators- D’banj and Don Jazzy- to perform just one song, together.

But it never happened, and many conjectured that Don Jazzy intentionally sneaked out of the Eko Hotel and Suites venue of the event, and left D’banj hanging, on stage.

But the producer maintains that he had left the venue of the event way before D’banj was scheduled to perform while reiterating his decision to ‘take a break from being an artist’.
