Governor of Akwa Ibom state, Godswill Akpabio, has warned the youths in the state against sacrificing their lives for the main opposition party, All Progressives Congress.
Akpabio made the comments on Saturday, February 14, during the Peoples Democratic Party campaign rally of its governorship candidate, Udom Emmanuel, in Etim Ekpo LGA of the state.
He said: “Do not allow anyone to deceive you into sacrificing your lives for them. No Akwa Ibom child should go and sacrifice their lives for APC.”
Speaking further, Akpabio also implored the youths to make sure to vote for those who have their interests at heart and who would empower them through industrialisation of the state.
The governor added that the governorship candidate was fished out by God to change the lives of the people of the state.
He said: “God has fished out Emmanuel and no man can touch him. You should all vote for our President, Dr. Goodluck Jonathan, for second term in office as our president so that he will continue with the transformation he has started.”
“Emmanuel is the right man to be the next governor of the state because he has God’s support,” he added.
