So blogger, Feyi Fawehinmi (@DoubleEph), wrote an essay titled ‘Mea culpa’ where he expressed disappointment for supporting the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate, Pres. Muhammadu Buhari in the 2015 election.
@DoubleEph wrote, “If I convinced even 10 people to vote for Buhari, then I owe them an apology. For not properly interrogating the people who offered themselves as the solution to Nigeria’s problems. Not because it would have made a difference but because it was the right thing to do. Nigeria was always the point.”
His insightful opinion had opened up a flurry of comments on Twitter with divided opinions.

that certain candidates were bereft of ideas and we would have nominated another. In 2019, there has to be less "Baba so pe".

@DoubleEph Your pessimism is getting too toxic. Even when Nigeria was growing at 8%, they were still making these mistakes.

@DoubleEph this shows why primaries are critical. The party didn’t operate on an even footing to allow aspirants compete for our support

@DoubleEph I’m not happy with a lot of their decisions but you are being an alarmist. China made a lot of crazy decisions but still did well

@DoubleEph @Medium We all want a better Nigeria and thought APC could offer, and things couldn’t get worse than PDP, we were wrong

@DoubleEph at this point, I’m not sure many other options exist. foreign investment is fleeing, and remittances can’t cut it.
