Say No To Bare Wrists – It’s time to accessorise with some arm candy

I believe bracelets are a fundamental part of every  woman’s outfit, everyday.

Bracelets come in diverse types. There are charm bracelets, beaded bracelets, cuffs, bangles, just to name a few.

The charm bracelets are chains bracelets with hoops and have decorative pendants and trinkets which are of personal meaning to the wearer. More recently however, the charms have more to do with personal taste and less to do with mementos. In purchasing a charm bracelet it’s important to check if the clasp works properly and also choose one that has enough free hoops in case you decide to add more charms to it eventually. The good thing about charm bracelets is that the width can be adjusted so that it’s not too tight on the wrists.

Beaded bracelets are decorative beads strung around an elastic band and worn on the wrist. Lately a new type of beaded bracelet stormed the Fashion industry; they are called shamballa bracelets. Shamballa bracelets, once worn solely by Buddhists whilst praying, have now become a fashion accessory that is hit list of fashion lovers around the world.

Bangles are solid bracelets, sometimes made of wood. They are usually round in shape and are not flexible like beaded bracelets.

Cuffs are bracelets similar to bangles except that they do not go around the entire wrist.

There are bracelets made of leather and end in a latch, also very fashionable. This leather bracelet trend is not gender biased unlike the charm bracelets. They are also very popular among rock stars, who like their leather bracelets adorned with spike and studs.

We all know that accessories make an outfit stand out, the recent “arm party” trend makes sure that you turn heads, twice! Anyone can pull this look off, it’s very simple. All you have to do is pile on various bracelets, no matter the type on both wrists. This is as opposed to the conservative trend whereby you have bracelets on just one wrist, why leave the other arm bare? Go on ahead and give life to both wrists. Don’t be afraid to mix up various colours of bracelets on both arms and have a party of your own.

The “arm party” trend can also be identified with the name “arm candy” as well, as the candy refers to the appealing nature at sight of the beautifully adorned wrists. A wrist watch which is an essential item in an outfit is also part of the arm party trend, to take this trend it up a notch, go ahead and don your fingers too with trendy rings.

Don’t be afraid to pile the bracelets, especially during this Easter holiday.
