The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has allegedly rearrested former Jigawa State governor, Sule Lamido, and his two sons, Aminu and Mustapha.
According to the Scoop, the case has been running for a long time with the EFCC arresting and releasing the sons while the Lamido was still governor and had immunity.
The allegations, which is involving an alleged fraud totalling N1.3 billion, took prominence at a time when then Lamido was openly considering the idea of joining the APC, was suddenly dumped when he opted to remain in the PDP and support then Goodluck Jonathan.
According to reports, the Lamidos were moved to Kano in preparation for their arraignment in court either Wednesday or Thursday.
The arrest was confirmed by EFCC spokesman, Wilson Uwujaren.
