Ayo Jay features Chris Brown and Kid Ink on Your Number remix

Nigerian singer, Ayo Jay – who got signed to the American label RCA few months ago has released an official remix to his hit single Your Number featuring label mates – Chris Brown and Kid Ink.

The pop artiste keeps soaring as Your number which had an unofficial remix featuring American star Fetty Wap is about to get even bigger.

The video of this official remix has reportedly been shot.

Don Jazzy and Jidenna trade banters on Twitter

Don Jazzy was up to his usual comic ways on Monday when he tweeted that Jidenna is now a part and parcel of Afrobeats; tagging him the “Yanky Banky” – the American version of American returnee Banky W who fused afrobeats into his r’n’b style when he made his debut in the Nigerian industry in 2008 with Ebute Metta.

Banky W and Jidenna then tweeted in agreement to Don Jazzy’s new name for the latter who is set to arrive Nigeria in early September to partake in activities lined up for his homecoming Africa tour.

 

Chocolate City set to release ‘The Choc Story’

A documentary for the story behind one of the biggest music labels in Nigeria, Chocolate City is set to be released.

Members of the label such as MI Abaga, Ice Prince, Brymo, Jesse Jagz, Audu Maikori and more feature in the documentary tagged “The Choc Story.”

Fans of the music powerhouse are to expect the real story behind Brymo’s departure to Jesse Jagz’ exit and emotional return to the label in this documentary.

Tekno releases new video 

Made Men Music star, Tekno has dropped the video to his hit song – Pana.

The video which was directed by Clarence Peters is indeed very colourful and distinct.

Burna Boy’s former label drops gospel album

Burna Boy‘s former label, Aristokrat Records seem to have ventured into a bit of uncharted waters by releasing a gospel album.

However the project, which is titled Philosophical Differences by producer Vic is reported to be a tribute to Vic’s dad who is being buried this weekend.

According to the label, ” “Philosophical Differences” is a gospel project with a distinct feel and the album was born out of his passion for to share “The Epistles” and “The Quartets” – a production style that utilizes 4 musical instruments: The Classical Electric Piano, The Liverpool Bass, Table Percussion and Strings from the standard Modern Violin family.”

The album features other Aristokrat artistes such as Ozone, Maka, PShyne and Geezy among many others.
