Wizkid set to drop new single and videowi

In his apology note where he cancelled concerts and performances for December and January, Wizkid promised to release a hot new track before the year wraps up.

He has lived up to that promise as it’s only days away before his new single ‘Daddy Yo’ drops. The song features Ghanaian singer and Starboy label artiste, Efya.

Wizkid shared snippets from the video and behind-the-scene shots on his Instagram and Twitter pages.

Headies organisers withdraw Tekno’s Next Rated nominationimg-20161221-wa0000

MMMG singer, Tekno will no longer be contending for the Next Rated award at the Headies tonight.

Organisers of the award made this known yesterday in a letter detailing Tekno’s failure to participate in the activities mandatory for nominees. The letter revealed that Tekno had ignored invitations to photoshoots, interviews and all other requirements that nominees has to fulfil in the days that lead up to the event.

Tekno was nominated in the Next Rated category and upon the release of the nominees list in November, the Pana singer had expressed his displeasure with the nomination via social media.

Tekno wrote, “Next rated after how many years! Let’s be honest pls”. He is yet to respond to the notice of his disqualification.

Kanye West cancels European tour kanye-west-boycott-grammys-frank-ocean

Kanye West’s Saint Pablo tour that was supposed to continue in Europe in 2017 has been “outright cancelled”.

TMZ reports that although Kanye’s management had said while he was hospitalised that the tour would hold belatedly, they have now contacted concert promoter, Live Nation that Kanye will not be available to go on the second leg of the tour.

Kanye West was supposed to make stops in the UK, Paris and Germany.

This cancellation has no cost effects as dates had not been picked and tickets were yet to be sold.

Davido, Mr Eazi and Reekado Banks headline separate shows last night

Fans were left to make the difficult choice of which show to attend as three major artistes held their separate concerts all in one night.

Davido was the headline artiste at the industry night, Mr Eazi’s Life is Eazi concert held at Landmark Centre while Reekado Banks’ Thank You concert held at the New Afrikan Shrine all simultaneously.

DJ Spinall, Illbliss and Cool FM OAP, Dotun were spotted at the Life is Eazi concert with performances by Phyno, Lil Kesh and more.
