Just In: Ese Oruru now at Police HQ in Abuja, awaiting her parents

The teenage girl who was allegedly abducted from her home in Bayelsa and shipped off to Kano, Ese Oruru has arrived Abuja from Kano following a rescue operation carried out by the Nigerian police.

Ese was allegedly abducted and forced into marriage by one Yunusa Yellow.

According to reports, Ese, who was clad in a native attire and white hijab to cover her head, was ushered into the Nigeria Police Headquarters in Abuja at 12:55pm.

She was accompanied by three men and two women, all dressed in Hausa native attires.

She was taken to the Force Spokesperson, Bisi Kolawole, upon arrival, before being ushered into another office.

Journalists were reported to have been prevented from taking photographs or conducting interviews with the Force spokesperson explaining that they were waiting for the parents of Ese to arrive before issuing a statement.

Ese’s parents are reportedly on their way from Yenagoa in Bayelsa state to Abuja.
