Etisalat opens entry for 2016 photography competition

Photography enthusiasts and professionals alike have a chance to compete and win in the Etisalat Photography Competition as entries for the 2016 edition have now been declared open.

The Etisalat Photography Competition encourages the public to capture and celebrate fascinating pictures that reflect the diversity and daring spirit of our Nigeria.

The competition kicks off series of activities leading to the 7th edition of the Etisalat-sponsored Lagos Photo Festival.

This year’s edition of Etisalat Photo Competition is tagged Performance with sub categories daily routines and celebratory.

Entries should capture actions we repeat constantly which becomes a ritual and when transferred into other spaces of engagement becomes a performance.

“We wish to explore these performances through the strength of photography in depicting our daily routines and celebratory activities and expressions” says Elvis Ogiemwanye, Director, Brands & Experience, Etisalat Nigeria.

The submission for the Etisalat Photography Competition opened on August 11 and will close on September 11, 2016.

To enter for this year’s competition, participants are required to visit photo.etisalat.com.ng  to register and submit entries for both daily routines and celebratory.

Voting will be announced after entry closes on September 11, 2016. The top 50 images from each category will be reviewed by a jury who will then unveil the finalists at the Grand opening of the LagosPhoto festival.

The first prize is a Canon Camera; the second prize an iPhone, while the third prize is a Samsung phone. The shortlisted photographers will also be enrolled at LagosPhoto summer school where they are expected to hone their skills.
