Governor Ayodele Fayose of Ekiti state is no stranger to showmanship same as he isn’t to controversy.

The governor, probably to show how close he is to the people of his state decided to ditch the long armored convoy of armed security agents and aides on his way to his office on Friday morning.

This is coming after the All Progressives Congress (APC) and the Conference of Nigerian Political Parties staged a protest against the governor on Thursday in Ado-Ekiti, the capital of the state.

Fayose’s latest antics might just be a reaction to the protest, showing the opposition that he is safe and loved among the people of the state despite the frequent protests that have been springing up against.
