FBI asks Justice department to refute Trump’s wire tapping claim

The Federal Bureau of Intelligence has urged the US Justice Department to dismiss president Donald Trump’s claim that his predecessor Barack Obama wire tapped the Trump Hotel and Tower ahead of the presidential election.

According to New York Times and NBC, FBI director, James Comey reportedly asked the Departmernt of Justice to publicy reject Trump’s wire tap claim.

On Saturday Trump had accused Obama of wire tapping his phones, a claim which has since been denied by Obama through his spokesman.

US media quoted officials as saying Comey believed there was no evidence in Trump’s allegation.

Director of National Intelligence under Obama said no wire tap occurred during the administration.
