Apparently, nobody wants to part with their money — not even for the benefit of the community or even the country. If we have our way, nobody will pay tax and over the years individuals and even companies have evaded tax.
Nigeria Liquefied Natural Gas Company Limited (NLNG) has been reported to have paid its annual tax of $1.62 billion, something they might have evaded in the past. With this payment, the government should be able to do something with it, maybe pay some salaries or use to fund contracts.
