Fani-Kayode accuses US of helping Boko Haram grow

Former Minister of Aviation, Femi Fani-Kayode, has accused the United States of helping in the growth and spread of Islamic terrorist sect, Boko Haram.

Fani-Kayode says the refusal of the US to classify the group as a terrorist organisation until 2014, contributed to its increased boldness.

He would also criticise the Barrack Obama-led government for refusing to sell arms to Nigeria in the fight against the insurgents.

Fani-Kayode stated all this via his Twitter handle on Thursday, July 23.

“The U.S. govt. helped Boko Haram immensly by refusing to classify them as a terrorist organisation until 2014 and by refusing to sell us arms to fight them.

Worst still, they imposed an international arms embargo on us so that we could not buy arms from anyone else.”
