Flawless! Kate Moss smoulders in nude photoshoot for St Tropez (LOOK)

She is the ultimate English rose known for having flawless milky white skin.

But even Kate Moss has shown every icon should sport a tan now and then, by signing up to be the face of St Tropez.

And what better way to show off just how effortless getting a streak-free all over tan can be than posing naked for the advertising campaign?

Lounging by the pool Kate, 39, shows of her incredible figure as she poses naked and the slim supermodel reveals she has been using the fake tan since she was in her 20s.

‘I have used St.Tropez since it started. Around 15 years ago, the first time I went to Ibiza I didn’t want to be the only white person on the beach so I had a St.Tropez,’ she said.

‘St.Tropez do it so well that you do look natural, you don’t have that fear which I always did of going streaky and not being able to fix it – total nightmare.

‘There is no reason to go around with that pasty pallor anymore, which is really exciting’: Kate added.

And with her streak free skin and natural glow the model shows why she earned her status of one of the most beautiful women in the world.

Kate said of her new signing: ‘I’m so excited to be working with St.Tropez. I’ve been using the products since they started and it’s a really trustworthy, cool brand. I always feel more confident with a St.Tropez tan!’

Michelle Feeney, CEO of PZ Cussons Beauty, owners of St.Tropez, added: ‘We’re absolutely thrilled that Kate Moss has chosen to work with us on our new campaign: it gives us the ultimate stamp of approval on the quality of our products.

‘Kate epitomises St.Tropez’s naturally glamorous approach to self-tanning and is a long-time advocate of the brand.

‘Kate’s fashion icon status is important to us but now her growing number of beauty campaigns proves that her appeal as a beauty icon resonates with confident women across all age groups globally.

Nichola Joss, St.Tropez Global Tanning and Skin-Finishing Expert, advises: ‘Skin-finishing and tanning has become part of our regular beauty regime and St.Tropez products offer incredible versatility, taking you from beach to party, summer to winter.

However campaigners have said Kate, who is a mother to ten-year-old Lila, was pandering to a misconception and failing to set a good example.

A spokesman for the British Skin Foundation told the Daily Mail newsaper: ‘It is a long-standing myth that a tan is a sign of being healthy, when quite the opposite is true.

‘A tan is a sign we have already damaged our skin. Pale skin can be perfectly natural and healthy and we welcome celebrities such as Rachel Weisz who appear comfortable with their own skin tone.’

Kate was famously milky-skinned when she first arrived on the modelling scene after being scouted by Sarah Doukas, MD of model agency Storm.

In recent years she has rarely been seen without a tan and is known to love sunbathing.

Experts accepted that it was safer to use tanning products than a sunbed or sunbathe if someone really wanted to change their colour but said it was important to always use sunscreen at the same time.
