Four disabled persons win primary elections in Taraba

Four disabled persons have emerged candidates of the All Progressives Congress for councillorship poll in the upcoming local government elections in Taraba State.

This was disclosed by the state Chairman of the party, Alhaji Hassan Ardo on Wednesday.

Ardo said a deaf and dumb man won the primaries in Mutum Biyu ward of Gassol Local Government Area.

He also said three other persons living with disabilities also won tickets to contest for councillorship in Jalingo Local Government Area.

Ardo said the APC in the state has confidence in the Chairman of the State Independent Electoral Commission.

He said, “The Chairman of the Commission, Dr Philip Duwe, I know is a man of his words and based on that I believe he is going to conduct a credible local government election and we are not expecting anything short of that.”
