The young man was killed while struggling with others to share money which was donated by a politician in Ajegunle area of Lagos state.

The incident was confirmed by the police and spokeswoman for the  state command, Ngozi Braide said the matter was being investigated.

Braide said that some suspects were arrested in connection with the victim’s death and will be charged  to court as soon as investigation is concluded.

“The suspects will be charged to court after a thorough investigation,’’ she said.

The incident occurred when the politician, who had come to inspect ongoing projects, donated large sums of money to the youths. An attempt by some people to prevent some social miscreants (area boys) from bolting with the money led to a free-for-all.

“The money the politician brought when he visited the area caused the fight at 7-Up Bus Stop, Ajegunle.

“There was a heated argument over the sharing of the money; a fight ensued and in the process, a man was killed at the scene,’’ said a witness.
