This is how you celebrate losing an election

by Chinwe Okafor

Celebrities disgraced when they chose to run for seat in this year’s elections. Out of all, just a few got compensated for their guts to even near a rather serious terrain. Like, you’re literally asking to be taken seriously after  every image of you in “interesting” attire, being dry humped by a female while you’re tossing 1000 Naira notes lavishly.

One person of such persons is popular Yoruba actress, Funke Adesiyan.

She fought shamelessly for a legislative seat in Oyo State under the Peoples Democratic Party and took her defeat in her stride by doing this- throwing a party.

It feels like she couldn’t wait to get that heavy formal clothing off her body for the life of her. She doesn’t feel bad for loosing (if that means she doesnt in any way feel bad about squandering all that money during her campaign). She doesnt care she lost (if that means she doesnt care she deceived you with her promises and sincerity).

All that matters is how she chose to handle it and according to Niyi Tabiti,  she “threw a party immediately after the election”. In her words,

Didn’t you hear about it? Ah! I don’t feel bad at all. I threw a big bash where I invited my fans and friends to come and celebrate with me. There was no need for me to feel bad in any way

Sorry if you didnt hear about it but she did make another promise after, to go back to her acting career and nothing is going to dampen her mood.
