Gareth Bale sends Real Madrid into UEFA Champions League final

24 hours after Atletico Madrid secured a place in the finals on Tuesday night, there was a lot to play for in the 2nd leg semi-final of the UEFA champions league on Wednesday night.

Real Madrid and Manchester City locked horns at the Santiago Bernabeu to pick up a golden ticket to the final after their goalless draw a fortnight ago.

Things started well for Real Madrid as Gareth Bale showed top quality as he attempted a delightful dink over the on-rushing Joe Hart however, the ball deflected off Fernando to put Los Balncos in the driving seat.

Zidane’s men controlled the game into the second-half as they tried to kill off Manchester City with every move.

City saw a goal chance go begging in the last 15 minutes when Kevin De-Bryune selfishly pelted a free-kick into the side-netting rather than putting the ball in the box for his team-mates.

Real Madrid would keep their opponents at bay as they cruised to a 1-0 victory.

It promises to be an entertaining final in Milan between Atletico and Real, the Madrid rivals.
