A taxi driver operating in the area was said to have disclosed that: “The incident happened following earlier rumours that the February 14 presidential election has been postponed.”

The billboard is located on the Suleija-Kaduna Expressway at the Federal Housing junction, beside the office of the National Emergency Management Agency in Kubwa.
