When Faith Tatro pulled over the help a cop writhing in pain on the side of the road, she had no idea it was her dad, Sergeant Kerstan Tatro.
Just minutes before, Sergeant Tatro had pulled over Amy Giorgio for speeding and when he was leaning through the window, she sped off, dragging him for several feet and running over his foot, before he fell to the ground. On lookers immediately pulled over to help him and one of those people was his daughter.
A witness said that she was screaming, “My dad, that’s my dad” and later, from his hospital bed, Sergeant Tatro said, “I was thinking, ‘what is she doing here?’ You go to work every night and they say be careful, and I say, ‘I promise. I’ll be careful, I’ll be home.'”
Now, he’s recovering nicely in the hospital, surrounded by friends and family, including his daughter Faith.
Giorgio, who was allegedly in possession of drugs, was later arrested after witness followed her and phoned police.
