Glory Edozien: 2015 taught me to replace impatience with strategy (30 Days of Gratitude)

What I’m grateful for

For life, family, second, third, fourth and fifth chances and most importantly for the voice in my heart that keeps reminding me that one day everything will make sense.

Lessons I have learned

This year I learnt that my yearnings are valid. That being afraid was normal. I learnt to give myself time. Time to learn, to grow, to make mistakes all over again and to relearn old and new things.

But I also grew impatient with life. Impatient about the goals I hadn’t achieved and the new targets that I wanted today. But then I learned too that my impatience was passions way of calling me. Giving me the faith to go forward even when I couldn’t see what was in front of me.

So 2015 taught me to replace impatience with strategy. Learning to write down the thoughts that collide in my head and that it was OK to take micro steps at a time, dancing in between each step.

My goals and expectations in 2016?

To be a better version of myself. Organised  and happily pursuing the things that set my heart on fire.
