Concerning the position of Vice President come election 2015, Bauchi State Governor Isa Yuguda has insisted he was not after the post calling those spreading the rumours as “enemies of progress.”

On  Saturday night in Lagos Yuguda cursed and swore at those fuelling the rumours that he had an eye on the Vice Presidency position in 2015.

‘’They are enemies of progress. God will punish them. I regard Vice President Namadi Sambo as a big brother, he grew up in Bauchi State and he was in the final year in the University when I was in year one.

“I don’t know what they intend to gain by linking me with the post. What else am I looking for in life? I have been a two time Minister, a governor for almost eight years and I thank Allah for what He has done for me, so what else will I be looking for in that position?” he said.

The Leadership news reports:

A national daily had reported that Yuguda and the Governor of Katsina State, Ibrahim Sheme are eying the Vice Presidency seat in 2015 to replace Vice President Namadi Sambo.

Speaking with newsmen in Lagos, Alhaji Yuguda described those linking his name with the position as enemies of progress who are bent on soiling the cordial relationship between him and the Vice President.

He said his major preoccupation for now is how to provide democracy dividends to the people of Bauchi State who have been very loyal to him by voting for him twice into office.
