Going Green: 2011 Nigeria Fashion Week recycles

by Yemi Olowu

The Nigeria Fashion Week provides the most appropriate atmosphere and opportunity for fashion, beauty, hair products and accessories to meet with both local and international wholesalers, buyers, retailers and end users.

In its seventh year, the Nigeria Fashion Week is fast becoming the most sought after fashion event in Africa. Over the years, it has played host to both local and international brands. This year’s event is themed Going Green, which would feature designers showcasing collections made from recycled materials. The idea is to protect the environment we live in, there would also be a climate change awareness and tree planting exercise on the last day.

The Nigeria Fashion Week is set for November 16 – 19 and is powered by Legendary Gold Limited with supports from Federal Ministry of Culture and Tourism and the World Fashion Organisation.
