The cabinet reshuffle frenzy has extended to Cross River as Governor Liyel Imoke reportedly suspends 20 members of his aides indefinitely.

The governor took the action yesterday stating  insubordination and dereliction of duty by the suspended members as his reason.

The affected 20, including Commissioners and Special Advisers, were said to have been absent at the 4 kilometre World AIDS Day march, which formed part of the state’s annual Calabar Festival and was held on Sunday.

An announcement from the office of the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Mike Aniah, gave the names of the affected cabinet members as Commissioner for Justice, Attah Ochinke; Commissioner for Finance, Etim Takis Kaifas; Commissioner for Social Welfare, Mrs. Edak Iwuchukwu; Commissioner for Women Affairs; Commissioner for Social Welfare, Patricia Enderly; Commissioner for Environment, Dr. Sandy Onor.

Others are Commissioner for Agriculture, James Aniyom; Special Adviser on Project Monitoring and Evaluation, Eja Dons Eseghe; Commissioner for Water Resources, Elemi Etowa; Special Adviser on Tourism, Wilfred Usani, Special Adviser on Religious Affairs; Eyo Okpo Ene; Special Adviser on Special Duties; Fabian Okpa.

The rest are Special Adviser Forestry and Biodiversity, Ntufam, Gabe Odu-Orji; Special Adviser on Investment, Gerald Adah; Special Adviser of Political and Legislative Matters, Fred Osim; Special Adviser Legal, Mark Obi; Special Adviser, NGO, Mrs. Margaret Johnson Ebokpo; Special Adviser on ICT, Odo Effiong; Special Adviser on Mineral Resources, Effiong Bassey; Special Adviser Strategy and Planning, Idem Temple; Special Adviser on Debt Management and Francisca Nkoyo Effiong.

The announcement directed the affected cabinet members to handover to the Permanent Secretaries of their respective Ministries and Departments.
