Governor Dickson’s sister freed by abductors

Nancy Dickson, the abducted sister of Bayelsa state governor, Seriake Dickson, is reported to have been released by her kidnappers.

Nnacy was abducted at her shop on Okaka Road, Yenagoa, by gunmen who reportedly drove in an ash Lexus Jeep December 19, 2015.

She was said to have been trailed to her shop by her kidnappers and taken away to an unknown place.

Punch Newspapers reports that an official of the Bayelsa State Government confirmed Nancy’s release, but added that an official statement would soon be released.

Spokesperson for the Bayelsa State Police Command, Asinim Butswat, also said the command had not been fully briefed on the release.
