Fayose praises UK Telegraph for article on Buhari

Ekiti state governor, Ayodele Fayose has reacted to a media publication by a United Kingdom based news outlet, UK Telegraph, which alleged that President Muhammadu Buhari is misappropriating foreign aids intended for the war against Boko Haram.

Fayose, heaped praises on the publication and the international community for condemning Buhari’s administration oppression of opponents.

The governor, who is currently in China to attend the 119th China Import and Export Fair, also called on the international community to investigate the alleged misuse of the said funds on prosecution of perceived opponents of the Buhari administration.

Speaking through his Special Assistant on Public Communications and New Media, Governor Fayose urged the international community to focus its attention on Nigeria under President Buhari, noting that the ‘rights of Nigerians are now being trampled upon with impunity.’

He further stated that the British and US government should investigate the allegations so as to ensure that funds given to Nigeria are well spent.

While lauding the Telegraph for its publication, Fayose said President Buhari must respect the rule of law and not rule the country like a military dictator.

He further noted that the United States Department of States report was proof that his stance on the Buhari government was right.

The governor stated that:”Everything I predicted about Buhari is coming to pass and the international community must assist the country to sustain democracy.”
