Gross: The most hyper-realistic tattoos (PHOTOS, not for the faint-hearted)

Half man, half machine: Hyper-realistic art giving the illusion of a cyborg.

by Isi Esene

For the adventurous among us who love to flaunt our uniqueness, this might be the way to go as Venezuelan tattoo artist Yomico Moreno derives joy in creating long-lasting impressions on his clients’ body.

Moreno, who works out of Caracas, has inked a variety of tattoos, ranging from sinister to downright surreal, according to reports.

Among his works are bionic arms, layers of skin ‘peeled back’ to reveal a beating heart, and the somewhat scary images of ‘deep’ scars and spiders on skin.

Check out the photos and marvel at his distinctive artistic imagination.

Scar tissue: One of Moreno's specialties is to show layers of 'muscle and sinew' below the skin, though of course, it is only ink

Terrifying: This tarantula looks as if it's creeping down an unsuspecting man's arm; clever shading and shadows help make these images look real
