This morning, at about 5:15am, unknown gunmen abducted Muhammadu Sade from his residence along Railway Road Quarters in Bauchi, Bauchi State.
Sade has great influence in Bauchi where he is the arrowhead of Governor Isa Yuguda’s political apparatus as well as the Chairman of the State Committee for fertilizer distribution, a position he occupied for five years.
When the armed men attacked, they killed the security guard before abducting Sade. No contact has been established yet and the whereabouts of the politician remains unknown.
For now, no clue has surfaced on the motive behind the abduction and neither the police force nor the state government has released an official statement.
