Gunmen have reportedly killed five people at Danmusa- Zonkoro village in Katsaya District in Chikun local government of Kaduna State.
Reports say the village has been under attack since last week leading to the death of the victims.
A resident of the village spoke to the press saying, “The recent killing was on Sunday when one man who was rearing about 20 cows was killed. About fifteen of his cows returned home without him. On the process of looking for him, they now found his corpse.”
Obadiah Usman who also resides in the village said five gunmen attacked the community on Monday but their onslaught was resisted by members of the community leading to the injury of two people.
The Kaduna Police spokesman, Aminu Lawan, confirmed the attack but claimed he has no knowledge of the exact number of casualties. He, however, assured that investigations are ongoing.
