We can’t remember the last time Tinsel was this hot! YNaija Weekly Tinsel Review Mar 19 – 23

We can’t remember the last time Tinsel was this hot!

Fred was finally told about Dan’s arrest. He invited Telema over to get some of the facts and then he went to the prison and insisted on seeing Dan. Fred knew that Dan didn’t want to see any family members, so one would expect him to be sensitive. But not Fred Ade-Williams. He berated Dan for his rash actions, and lectured him about wanting to turn the Ade-Williams family into a family of criminals.

Dan, who had been irritated by Laide’s earlier visit, wasted no time in turning the tables on his big brother. He reminded him that one criminal doesn’t make a mafia, and then dropped the bomb on him. “The only person you don’t seem to be able to get pregnant is your own wife!”

Fred wasn’t the only one who got a shocker. Much to Angela’s dismay, neither she nor any of her colleagues will be taking over from Alex. A “Margaret Thatcher” who once was Chief Operating Officer at World Movies is Angela and Tega’s new boss. Angela was shocked to find out that the young man who made no secret of his admiration when he saw her at Ziggy’s Bar, is her new boss’ son, Emil.

Meanwhile, Emil was at Ziggy’s meeting Phillip, and since he claims he’s not going to be working at World Movies, we can’t help wondering what that meeting was about.

Angela was stunned by the fact that Chris left the Flood Journals manuscript to Phillip to make the movie, sent through his lawyers no less. Even though Amaka has advised from a legal standpoint that World Movies be consulted before any production plans begin, Philip insists that if World Movies doesn’t have a document to supersede the manuscript with Chris’ note in it, it stands. Will Angela be able to prove herself on this project, or will failure to do this be the end of her career?

Meanwhile, Amaka isn’t doing a good job of being superwoman. She botched her video-conferencing meeting with Angela by stopping to pacify her crying baby, emailed documents full of errors and insists on dragging the doctor out on her day off because her baby had a temperature. We don’t know where she got the idea that she doesn’t need a new nanny, but she had better get one, and fast.

Bimpe finally remembered where she found the SIM card- Kwame’s trash can, just as we thought. Unfortunately Sankey can’t prove anything yet, so Kwame is still as cocky as ever and even threatened to get Sankey transferred to Zamfara if she attempts to slander him. Why is justice so slow in catching up with Kwame? He’s been so evil for so long!

Life isn’t fair to Shalewa either. The poor girl still believes her father is innocent, and Ziggy has warned Titan not to disillusion her. Harriet sighted Titan at the bar and was instantly inspired to do a story about a pop star and a killer’s daughter. Worse, she managed to get a picture as Titan comforted a weeping Shalewa. We can only hope that their young love will survive the barrage of press interference that has already started.

And we pray Sheila survives too. When Laide came by the house, she told her, “This child makes me a more valid fact in his life than your wedding ring will ever make you.” Now that Fred has found out about Laide’s pregnancy, what will become of Sheila?

Till next week!
