On the pitch this Christmas, Manchester United are not giving their fierce rivals breathing space. Their 5-0 thumping of Wigan Athletic and Manchester City’s 0-0 draw with West Brom at The Hawthorns drew the Red Devils level with the Blues. They stay second on goal difference.
However, off the pitch, United’s players were in the mood to give. The players and coach visited the Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital and spent time with the patients and staff. They gave out gifts, souvenirs, iPADs, etc. while coach Alex Ferguson handed out a five hundred thousand pounds cheque to the management.
