U.S rapper Heavy D, born Dwight Arrington Myers passed away on Tuesday after climbing a flight of stairs in his Beverly Hills home. He was 44 years old. His friends and colleagues took to social network sites twitter to pour out their heartfelt condolences. We sampled some really moving ones here:

‘’How would you feel knowing prejudice was obsolete & all mankind danced to the exact beat. R.I.P Heavy D, you are in my heart forever.’’                                 –   Jennifer Lopez.

The last tweet the rapper put out the day of his death was a positive one “BE INSPIRED!”

The funeral is to be held in New York next Friday: Diddy, Mary J. Blige are invited to attend.
