Today we hear that the football legend and king of metrosexual men, David Beckham is retiring from professional football.
His fame rose as Britain’s wealthiest sportsman after winning 115 caps for England, being one time England team captain and not to forget, husband to former Spice Girl and fashion designer, Victoria. Over the years he has become a favourite face for major sporting and designer brands.
Beckham was the first British footballer to play 100 Champions League matches and with that endorsements followed, advertising deals and magazine covers offers as he is no stranger to fashion.

In July 2012, ELLE made publishing history by deciding to feature Beckham as their first ever solo male cover star in anticipation of the 2012 Olympic games. As ELLE editor said: “Who doesn’t want to see a picture of one of the world’s most handsome men on the front cover of a magazine?”
