‘Hold a re-run 100 times, I’ll still win’ | David Mark reacts to Appeal Court ruling

Former Senate President, David Mark has urged his constituents not to be perturbed by the Court of Appeal’s ruling on his election.

The Appeal Court, had earlier today, ordered that a fresh election should be held in Benue south Senatorial district won by Mark of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) against Daniel Onjeh of All Progressive Congress (APC).

In reaction, Mark maintains that he won the election convincingly, stating that his constituents would still turn out en masse to vote for him again.

In a statement issued on his behalf by Paul Mumeh, his spokesman, Mark said: “What ever the situation may be, one thing I know is that my people are solidly behind me.

They also appreciate the fact that I have done more than enough to lift up Idoma nation to a  position of eminence in the contemporary political history of Nigeria.

I won the election clean and clear. If we go back to the polls 100 times, I will still win convincingly,” he said.
