Grace Wende, the Executive Secretary of the Benue State Agency for the Control of Aids (BENSACA), has announced the discovery of an homosexual group in the state known as the Men Sleeping with Men (MSM).
She disclosed that the 400-member association has its members drawn from various higher institutions in the state.
According to Wende, who made this disclosure yesterday at a one day training of Media Practitioners on HIV/AIDS in Makurdi, the state capital, the existence of such groups is not helping the state in its fight against the dreaded disease HIV/AIDS.
She reportedly said, “The club was discovered during an Epidermic appraisal carried out by our Canadian partners in collaboration with BENSACA following the state government’s resolve to fight the increasing trend of HIV/AIDs in the state as shown in 2011 survey.
“In fact my office is already interacting with the group of young men who are mostly undergraduates in various higher institution of learning located in the state,” she said.
She enjoined all stakeholders to the BENSACA in its dogged fight against the spread of the virus disclosing that it is already making moves to engage the members of the MSM, who usually have their meetings in December, with a view to educating them on the dangers of their practise.
“There is a heightened need for scale-up of effective and efficient HIV prevention efforts in the state if we must all win this war against the virus,” she said.

the lady is incompetent and should resign her job…there’s no *Club* called MSM..what there is is a community of Gay people as there is in every state and every place. MSM is just a classification used by health workers to describe a section of the community. if she doesn’t understand these things then she is in the wrong job or the Job has the wrong person
