Another American family has been shattered by gun-related violence. During a domestic dispute, a North Carolina mother shot her teenage daughter, her teenage son, and their father. Afterwards, she killed herself.

During a press conference about the tragic incident, Greensboro, North Carolina Police Chief Ken Miller confirmed that the father and daughter are expected to survive. However, the son and mother are confirmed dead. In Greensboro, NC last Monday morning, Sandra Palmer, 47, was arguing with her 46-year-0ld boyfriend Maurice Edmonds Sr.

She left the living room to retrieve a firearm and shot her son Maurice Edmonds II (pictured) 14, and her daughter Danielle Jameison, 18. She maced Edmonds Sr. and shot him as well. Chief Miller explained the tragic series of events at a press conference quoting:

“The two adults had a 17-year relationship.  There was a dispute in the morning in the living room.  Sandra Palmer was the shooter. She retrieved a firearm and came back in the living room.  She maced Mr. Edmonds Sr. to disable him and began to discharge that firearm, striking her son and daughter multiple times. All evidence and statements suggest Palmer acted alone. One revolver and a semi-automatic gun were used in the shooting.” (MyFox8.com)

After Palmer shot her two children, police claim Edmonds Sr. attempted to get the gun away from her but was shot in the process. Chief Miller said Palmer then locked herself in another room and took her own life with another handgun. There were no previous domestic incidents reported at the family home and the house where this tragedy happened was in a good neighborhood. Neighbor Zacharias Barfield says he awoke last  Monday morning to hear Edmonds Sr. screaming in pain.  “He kept saying, ‘My kids!  Help, help, help!  My kids!’  I mean it was surreal.”
