After appearing on the French Vogue in May 2010 with Penelope Cruz, Naomi Watts, Julianne Moore, Kate Winslet, and Gwyneth Paltrow, 62-year-old actress, Meryl Streep covers the January 2012 issue of American Vogue. One would have thought Streep would never be a cover option of the New York based publication, after taking up a role in ‘Devil Wears Prada’, portraying Anna Wintour as a mean editor her assistant always knew her as. But, since Meryl is playing Margaret Thatcher in the new biopic ‘The Iron Lady’, it would be a good sales boost for Vogue and would also appeal to the Britons.
The issue hits magazine stands on December 20.
