Remember a few weeks ago, the singer Terry G (Gabriel Amanyi) was said to have been shot by armed robbers? Grateful for life, he has now shared his story with Encomium. According to him, he wasn’t shot and none of the two people with him were injured, but the robbers made away with valuable property.

“It happened on a Sunday, October 6, 2013, around 1am while I was going for an event at a club in my neighbourhood around Iju-Ishaga, Lagos,” he said, adding that property stolen include “my iPhone 5s, Blackberry Q10, another Blackberry phone, gold chain and wrist watch. They wanted to take the car but they did not succeed because it had security. They couldn’t start it. They returned my Blackberry Q10 and iPhone which I did not collect from them.”

“They didn’t shoot me, they fired shots in the air and left. I was there with my personal assistant, Uchnike IQ of House of Ginjah and Allen Euro. No one was injured.”

He tried to draw some lessons from it: “I don’t think it’s a good idea to be a night crawler but celebrities have no choice. We have night performances we must attend.”
