How many pots of soup can this crab make?

This crab was caught off the coast of Tasmania (does anyone remember Loony Tunes’ Taz the Tasmanian Devil cartoon?) in March and nicknamed Claude. He is a Tasmanian Monster Crab, a type of crustacean found in the waters of Southern Australia.

This particular monster weighs 6.8kg (15 pounds) and its carapace (its back) measures about 38.1cm (15 inches) across, but he’s still only a teenager. He’s expected to add about 3 inches and double his weight when he is fully mature.

He was bought for £3,000 by a British acquairium and is on display at the Sea Life centre in Weymouth, Dorset, in his own custom fish tank.

I just think that he might have made a delicious pot of banga (palm nut) soup.
