UN Ambassador, Nigerian actress, CEO of Fancy Nancy Collections, Chika Ike seems to be doing alright.
She’s been mixed up in a few controversies but nothing major, well until now.
Yesterday she drew a lot of attention to herself (negative and sympathetic) after she posted a message on her Facebook wall announcing that her divorce was now official.
Hi Fabs! Thank you all for your love and support over the years…. It’s been an emotional journey and I want to officially announce to you guys that the court has granted me a divorce…. I am now officially divorced. Thanks.
Her Facebook post has generated over 700 comments with more than 300 likes.
One Blessing Chibuzo was unimpressed with the way the announcement was made, he said: “Chika are you proud? Announcing it as if its some kind of achievement. God hates divorce! If you decided to go ahead with yours, can’t you quietly do so? Please stop encouraging women to follow same Regardless of the situation divorce is STILL an act of shame. . your fans are expecting you to live a life worthy of emulation. what are you teaching ?”
There are speculations that her account was hacked into but according to Vanguard news, an Abuja high court granted the actress a divorce on Friday, July 26 after a separation from her ex; Tony Eberiri.
Chika and Tony got married in 2006, but the marriage hit the rocks a few years later.
