With over 17 years in the acting business, Uche Jombo-Rodriguez has risen to become a household name in Nollywood.
The Enugu-born actress has battled her fair share of societal barriers on her way to the top.
With over 60 films to her credit including the award-winning Damages, the graduate of Mathematics and Statistics, Computer Programming, in 2012 got married to her US-based lover Kenney Rodriguez in a much-talked about private beach wedding in Puerto-Rico.
In October 2015, the couple welcomed Matthew, their son but as they say there is good in bad and there is bad in good and Uche Jombo-Rodriguez has experienced both sides of coin.
The actress has been a victim of cyber bullying which intensified after her appearance at the 2016 AMVCA in March when fans hounded her for not losing her pregnancy weight.
She was recently in the news when she aired her disagreement with the Olori of Ife on her stance on gender equality; arguing that the Queen was confusing gender roles for gender equality.
The actress joined us on #YNaijaTwitterInterview on Friday from Dallas where her directorial debut film – Lost in Us which is based on Erotomania (a delusion in which a person believes that another person – typically of higher social status – is in love with them) will be screened at the Dallas Africa Film festival.
In the course of the interview, she talked about her illustrious acting career, marriage, motherhood and more.
