“I urge you to support Ambode” – Fashola may finally be on the same page with Tinubu

Lagos state governor, Babatunde Fashola has urged Lagosians to vote for the governorship candidate of the APC, Akinwumi Ambode, to sustain the programmes of his administration.

This call is significant because after last Thursday’s gubernatorial primaries of the All Progressives Congress, stories made the rounds that all was not well between Lagos state governor, Babatunde Fashola and national leader of the APC, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu.

Fashola made his recent comments while speaking at the Lagos Sea Food Festival 2014 on Saturday, where he implored Lagosians to throw their weight behind the candidate of the APC would also ensure that the state continued to enjoy good governance and high performance.

He said, “I urge you all to support the new APC governorship candidate and make sure that the festival continues. You have a role to play; you have to register and you have to collect your Permanent Voter Cards and then you can use your vote to choose who you want.”

“So, if you want this Sea Food Festival to be here next year; if you want Count Down to be here next year; if you want Beach Soccer to be here next year, the only way you can get them is to vote the government which is providing these activities in Lagos, the All Progressives Congress,” Fashola added.
