A self-confessed kidnapper who stole a two-year-old girl and later sold her to a woman in Kano has returned her two years later claiming he had met misfortune since his act.

The kidnapper said he was struck with a strange disease after kidnapping Praise from the Children department of the Living Faith Church in Ota, Ogun State. He also said he became blind.

The man confessed to committing the crime and collected Praise, now aged 4, from a woman in Kano.

According to reports, Praise was brought to church on Sunday by her parents.

Nigerian Tribune reports:

In addition to this, he said he was always seeing the founder of the church, Bishop David Oyedepo, pursuing him with a sword in his dream, hence his decision to confess his sin.

The Bishop said the self-confessed kidnapper was taken to a branch of Winners Church by his wife.
