This Monday on the ABC talk show “The View” Brittni Ruiz, a former p0rn star, appeared with Pastor Craig Gross of XXXchuch.com and said that she could never go back to her old lifestyle now that she had found God in her life and had encountered His love for her.

One of the hosts of the show, Sherri Shepherd, asked Ruiz if she ever missed her old lifestyle now that she was working in sales alongside Craig trying to persuade other women who work in the p0rn industry to change their life and get out of it.

Ruiz replied that she never thought of going back. She added that she had encountered God’s love and now she knew her own self worth. She continued that God had shown her how to love and respect herself and she felt that a tremendous void in her life had been filled.

According to Ruiz, she used to make up to $13,000 for one day’s work when she was staring in adult films but she turned away from all that when she became a Christian. She added that she had started working in the porn industry when she was 18 years old and went under the stage name of Jenna Presley.

Ruiz, 26, went on to say that working in the “adult” industry was nothing glamorous. At first she felt beautiful and that she had found her self worth, she continued. However, after working there for a short while, she felt destroyed and hopeless and had even tried to commit suicide several times because she was so miserable, she added.

Pastor Gross and his XXXchurch ministry reach out to people who want to overcome an addiction to p0rnography and Gross is credited with helping Ruiz to change her life and find Christ.

Gross said on the show that his ministry team travel all over the world to share the message that Jesus loves p0rn stars to people who are attending adult industry events.

“Our church shows up at all the largest adult expos in the country, from New Jersey to Australia to California,” said Gross. “We had seen Brittni for seven years at these shows and it was just a matter of time where we would send somebody … that would just brighten up her day at the show that would talk to her, give her a t-shirt that says ‘Jesus Loves P0rn Stars.’ I gave her a Bible.”

Although Gross admits that he did have a part in Ruiz’s conversion, he gives most of the credit to a team of women from his ministry that showed Ruiz that she was loved and valued as a human being.
