I will pray to God for #Nigeria to qualify for Nations Cup – Onazi

by Mark Bassey

‘In God we trust’; No one believes this at this point in time more than the Super Eagles.

Lazio Midfielder, Onazi Ogenyi says he will pray to God to grant Nigeria qualification to the Nations cup, while also expressing certainty at Nigeria’s chances of winning the game against Congo on Saturday, 15 November.

Speaking from Italy, Onazi told told AfricanFootball that the team has to move ‘past differences’ to qualify for the 2015 African Cup of Nations.

He said, “Once I arrive Nigeria, I will go to my father in the Lord to pray with me, because I want the Nations Cup ticket and I know we can win in Congo. We must also cooperate and forget past differences to achieve our aim.”

In a related development, the technical crew of the Super Eagles have confirmed Monday, 10 November, as the deadline for invited players to arrive at camp.

The team’s gaffer, Stephen Keshi said: “We have no time for this game and the players know, so all of them must be here early enough for the trip to Congo.”
