The IGP has sent detectives to Enugu over ‘Fulani herdsmen’ killings

The Inspector General of Police, Solomon Arase has sent a high-powered team of police detectives to the Nimbo community in Enugu state where dozens of people were killed by the herdsmen.

According to The newly-installed State Commissioner of Police, Emmanuel Ojukwu, the dispatched police detectives are to “unravel the remote and immediate causes of the incident and noted that any person found to have been directly or indirectly involved, will face the full sanctions as stipulated by the law.”

Ojukwu revealed all these while addressing Area Commanders, Divisional Police officers and other Heads of Department in the state police command as he charged them to charge up to the responsibilities of policing or get shipped out.
