Award winning novelist, Chimamanda Ngozie Adichie has been promoting her new book, Americanah. She was recently on CNN‘s African Voices to talk about it with presenter, Zain Verjee.

Adichie reveals her inspiration behind her new novel, her mother’s influence, the thoughts on the foray into politics as well as her meeting with legendary Chinua Achebe.
“I’m very happily feminist and I’m very much interested in females point of view and I want to get to a place where writing about women is the norm,” she said.
