#InCaseYouMissedIt: Gunmen abduct 3 female teachers in Edo

Three female primary school teachers, Patience Osadolor, Momodu Aisna and Patience Okoshone were abducted by gunmen suspected to be kidnappers.

The incident occurred at the school premises,Orogbua Primary school, Upper Ekenwa road, Benin City on Thursday when the gunmen entered the premises in a rough manner,shot sporadically and escaped in a car belonging to one of the victims.

The sporadic shot sent the teachers and pupils running for their lives in different directions.

Vanguard reports:

A stray bullet was said to have hit one Mr Derick Akpotu, who was in the school to check on his daughter. Vanguard was informed that he was being treated at an undisclosed hospital.

The Edo state Police spokesman, DSP Moses Egoevoen, said the command had mounted a manhunt for the suspects, reiterating that “Edo state cannot be a haven for kidnappers.

The Edo Command under the leadership of the Commissioner of Police, Folunsho Adebanjo had made it clear that any criminal that failed to repent will be dealt with in the state.

“So we are not relenting, those behind the crime will be apprehended no matter how fast they try to run”
